Fairbanks Counseling and Adoption is a professional family service agency whose
purpose is to support the sanctity of all life by strengthening families, promoting healthy parenting and advocating for children. The agency is committed to empowering individuals to make informed, responsible, personal decisions.
General Services Paragraph:
Fairbanks Counseling and Adoption (FCA) is a family service non-profit agency whose focus is to advocate for the safety and well-being of children, promote healthy parenting and family living, and help individuals to heal. FCA provides individual and family counseling for children and adults suffering from the effects of physical abuse, sexual abuse or neglect, as well as behavior issues, depression, relationship issues and other needs. FCA provides nurturing parenting classes, and in-home parenting support services; pre- and post-adoption services for in-state, interstate and international adoptions; pregnancy counseling and support; and, support and advocacy for run-away and homeless youth in the Interior region. FCA also provides client services through three State funded grant programs: Permanent Families for Adoptive/ Guardianship Children in State’s custody, Family Support Services and Family Preservation Services; and one federally funded grant program for Street Outreach for Runaway, Homeless and At-Risk Youth.
